Myanmar considers itself one of the last outposts of true Buddhism. Most 
Christians come from the ethnic minorities while the Bamar, Shan, Mon 
and Rakhine have very few believers. For the few local evangelists, the 
cultural divide is huge. Most of the people live in rural areas. Until recently, it was difficult for foreigners to live outside of Yangon, but 
things are slowly changing…
