Many Malaysians live and work in busy cities with modern conveniences, but they still continue their traditions. Malay is the national language, but many ethnic groups also converse in their various languages and dialects. In some of the bigger urban centers English is widely spoken. - Willing to adjust to the appropriate lifestyle common for locals. - Willing to learn some local language. - Dress modestly and be sensitive to the dietary restrictions of different ethnic groups
