Missionaries often face challenges in life and ministry beyond what they would have if they stayed in Australia, so we want to ensure that they get good pastoral care in order to sustain them in ministry long term. From NSW alone we have about 75 missionaries on the field that we provide pastoral care for when they are in Australia.

Our vision is to send people to be involved in biblical church movements in East Asia and we believe that good Member Care is an essential part of sustaining people in cross-cultural ministry for the long run. We want to get alongside missionaries by helping them process their experiences, providing resources to equip churches as they help meet the missionaries’ practical needs, and ensuring that each person can find ways to build their resilience

Our office is based in Sydney.

The Member Care Coordinator will work as part of a team to ensure a good support base of care for NSW members while they are in Australia. This includes help with organising practical needs, providing opportunities to attend retreats, and take holidays.

To liaise with other mission agencies and contribute to events that provide support for our members.

They need to be spiritually mature, being able to work proactively and as part of a team. Being a team player is an absolute essential.

They must have demonstrated involvement in cross-cultural mission either through personal experience as a missionary.

Valuable skills include being able to stay on top of administrative work, planning and coordinating events, and leading a team of volunteers.
