Job Description

People over 50-55 years old can relocate to South East Asia for an early retirement. You can then work part-time or get involved with voluntary work. You will have the opportunity to build relationships and share the love of Jesus in both word and deed with colleagues at work or friends that you make in the area where you live. The weather is tropical and the people are very hospitable. The region is developing fast and becoming more urbanised. However, much of the traditional culture still remains. Older people are highly respected and have a big influence on society.

Responsibilities

• an initial period of language study and cultural adaptation in-country, lasting 12 months • building relationships with colleagues or friends • meeting for fellowship and working together with other like-minded people

No specific qualification is needed.

Living Situation

• Able to maintain good spiritual health in the face of both practical and spiritual challenges • Having a learning and flexible attitude and willing to respect local expectations, such as interactions with people of the opposite sex • Willing to work together with people of different nationalities with mutual accountability
