Medical workers for a Christian Hospital in Phnom Penh, Cambodia - Two Operating Room nurses (scrub and anesthesia) for 2 years or more (long term) Make an impact and be a witness in the workplace and community with the Gospel. Through all this, our goal is to see the people of Cambodia come to faith in Christ, to edify believers, to show what it means to be a Christian professional and to glorify God with our lives.
Are you passionate to use your professional skills and to share the Gospel of Christ? Imagine bringing hope and impacting lives for the glory of God among colleagues and patients who might otherwise have less chance to hear and respond to the gospel. We are looking for people with a desire to reach and serve the unreached or neglected in Cambodia. We seek to serve with excellence, imparting biblical values, integrating profession with ministry and do relational disciple making with individuals and build up local believers through Bible teaching, where possible. We do wholistic ministry as a team (not necessarily as individuals) with the overall goal of making disciples among the people in Cambodia. In addition to using our profession, our members can also work alongside our church work team or local churches and in partnership with other NGOs and Government institutions. Mercy Medical Center Cambodia (MMCC) is a Christian NGO and an OMF partner in mission located in the capitol city of Phnom Penh providing excellent health care to the poor. Medical Mission workers that serve in Cambodia via OMF can be seconded to MMC, which would be incorporated in an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between the missionary, OMF and MMC. The Operating Room is currently not used regularly, but activities will increase from January 2024 when a general/pediatric surgeon comes to work long-term in MMC. Therefore two OR nurses are needed by then to help run the OR on a regular basis: scrub and anesthesia. For those planning to serve over 4 years, one year is dedicated for full time cultural orientation and Khmer language study followed by part time language study and part-time working at MMC. A shorter time of language study (3 months) is allocated for those planning to serve 1-3 years. MMC shares the Gospel with every patient. If you enjoy to combine your medical work with telling patients about Christ and showing God‘s love to them as well as praying with the Christian staff and read the Bible with them, please contact us through our OMF website. If you would like to visit MMC’s homepage, please go to www.mercymedcambodia.org
