Join our team in British Columbia and come alongside young people as they discern God's calling and engage in short-term mission through the OMF Serve Asia program.
As a Student Mobilizer located in Metro Vancouver, you will work with our BC Team to develop relationships with students and student ministry leaders, encouraging and inspiring them to be involved in God's purposes for the world. This role may be served in a full-time, part-time or volunteer capacity.
Foster relationships and partner with schools, univerisities, and campus ministry leaders in developing missions awareness and encouraging student involvement. Work with the BC Team Lead to develop connection, learning opportunities, and options for service among young people interested in mission. Know OMF Canada’s mobilization priorities and short-term opportunities Work with the OMF Canada team to help students and others to find their place in mission, locally or globally. Assist the BC Team with local and regional mobilization events.
• A passion to see people reached with the gospel of Jesus • Ability to work well with a team or independently • Good written and verbal communication skills • Strong skills in organization, planning and attention to detail • Undergraduate or college degree preferred
• BC resident holding Canadian citizenship or permanent residency. • Willing to travel within the BC Lower Mainland. This is a support-raising role that requires applying to become an OMF member and developing a team of prayer and financial partners. There are varied and creative paths to membership, and OMF Canada will provide training on how to develop your team. God has faithful – he has provided for OMF workers for more than 160 years!
