Job Description

Universities and colleges employ expat lecturers/professors in many different areas, including science, technology, medicine, languages, business and IT. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with your colleagues at work and other friends that you make on campus and in the area where you live. This will provide you opportunities to help them know more about Jesus The weather is tropical and the people are very hospitable. The region is developing fast and becoming more urbanised. However, much of the traditional culture still remains. Many young people go to the cities to study and there is a big demand for university/college education.

Responsibilities

- an initial period of language study and cultural adaptation in-country, followed by work as a lecturer / professor - building relationships with colleagues and friends - meeting for fellowship and working together with other like-minded people

Qualifications

A PhD (or a Masters’ degree with a few years of experience)

Living Situation

- In the culture it is important for men to relate to men and women to women - Adjust lifestyle and language to help friends know more about Jesus - Willing to work together with people of different nationalities with mutual accountability
