Job Description

The Thailand Adventure Ministry has been running camps for young Thai people for over 10 years. Our desire is to share the gospel with Thai youth in a natural and attractive way as we do fun and exciting outdoors adventure activities together. We’ve discovered that the challenging adventure activities combined with caring “we can get through this together” support creates an amazing openness in the young people to hear about Jesus. The camps also develop resilience and leadership skills in young Thai Christians. The leadership team of these camps is made up of Thai Christians, expat. missionaries and a few overseas volunteers. Thai is the main language spoken at camp, but some of the campers speak English. The camps were initially held in Krabi province on the Andaman coast of Thailand but the team are starting to run camps in other regions. Camps started in Central Thailand (Uthai Thani province) in 2022 and will start in Isaan (Khon Kaen province) in 2025. Activities on camp include: - rock climbing, abseiling (rappelling), caving, swimming and team-building activities - building friendships with the Thai teenagers and young adults and sharing the gospel in a natural way through our lives, conversations and led discussions. - serving the campers and other leaders on camp by assisting with the logistics of running camp. Dates: 8-11 April 2025 - South Thailand Adventure Camp 21-23 October 2025 - Isaan Adventure Camp 28-30 October 2025 - Centreal Thailand Adventure Camp Volunteers from overseas become an important part of the Thai/expat. leadership team. Short-term workers help with running activities and ensuring safety in these activities, while also assisting with the logistics of the camp. Some Thai young people are able to speak English, but all campers appreciate the expat. volunteers who join us.
