The Returnee Focus Area Mobilizer contributes to the vision and mission of the Returnee Focus Area team by mobilizing workers, prayer and resources for those outside the reach of the Good News in East Asia. It also has key relationships with the relevant Returnee Focus Area Leaders, and Country Leaders; relevant People Group leaders within the Area This position reports to the Returnee Focus Mobilization Coordinator. This position is accountable to the Returnee Focus Mobilization Coordinator
1) Mobilizes Resources within the Area. This will include working with the Field Prayer Coordinator, creating opportunities to invite new workers and planning how to maximize the effect of mobilization events. 2) Manage the Area Mobilization Calendar – by evaluating which conferences within the Area (e.g. Chinese Mission Convention) provide a strategic location for Returnee Focus mobilization and recruit Returnee Focus members for the most strategic events. 3) Finding the most effective use for Mobilization tools by working with the Returnee Focus Media and Communications coordinator to develop video and literature resources as necessary 4) Planning strategy that will advance the ministry of Returnee Focus within the Area 5) Security Awareness – working with the IT and communications teams to ensure security and communication guidelines for mobilization and media are updated and maintained to most current standards 6) Manage Job postings for the Area by working with the Candidate Coordinator and Area Leader to ensure all Job Descriptions are up-to-date. 7) Post Job Descriptions on OMF.org’s opportunities site and ensure that all the Sending Center’s mobilizers are aware of the Returnee Focus Area’s current critical personnel needs. 8) Networking with other OMF Centers and mobilizers to ensure that each one has a good understanding of the Returnee Focus Field’s mobilization needs. Travel may also be necessary to visit team sites, Bible Colleges, churches, other orgs, etc. 9) Attend meetings convened by the Returnee Focus Mobilization Coordinator or the International Center.
1) Ability to communicate well in English 2) Writing Skills - using email and other forms of written communication, with concise, clear and appropriate language 3) Building strong channels of communication with all parts of the O Fellowship 4) Working effectively with a cross-cultural team 5) Ability to prioritize and break complex tasks into manageable segments 6) Ability to identify the causes and effects of problems in the workplace and working on and implementing possible solutions 8) Coaching and Mentoring - Sharing expertise with others, enjoys coming alongside others, and patience to work with people with varying ideas. 9) Ability to work within an international team and ability to be an effective team member 10) Technical Skills – computer literate and competent with MS Office suite of tools. 11) Able to learn new systems quickly; familiar with OMF’s information systems and how to use them for maximum benefit.
