Job Description

We are actively looking for people to be part of teams reaching unreached people groups in the Mekong region. The Mekong River flows from China through Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Along this river live a great diversity of peoples, cultures, and languages with unique opportunities and challenges and most with very few believers in Jesus Christ. Our teams are engaging in personal evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and training in order to see movements of churches being planted in each of the people groups of the Mekong region. We also work with existing believers to enable them to own a vision of reaching their own people and equip them with the tools to plant multiplying churches. More workers are needed to join and sustain existing teams and to pioneer work among groups with no current team. The areas that the minorities of the Mekong region live are as varied as the people themselves. There are opportunities to live anywhere from small communities to megacities. Teams are operating in a variety of political contexts. Most of the peoples of this region are Buddhist or animist, but religious practices and cultural traditions vary widely. Common elements across all our ministry environments include relatively easy access to daily necessities, beautiful natural and cultural scenery, delicious and unique foods, supporting communities of fellow believers and workers, as well as challenging spiritual, political, or geographical contexts.

Teachability and humility are essential for working cross-culturally in this context. People who value working with others in teams are desired, since teamwork and partnership are essential to seeing God's work flourish here.
