Are you a qualified teacher who would like to help and support in an international school? International schools are a safe place for children where they can strengthen their faith and be established with a strong academic foundation. Come and support the missionary communities based in either Manila, Davao or Tacloban.
Even though these schools operate in English and the first two provide education for children with non - Filipino passports, we would ask you to come for a full year before you teach, to immerse yourself in Filipino language and culture in order to thrive in the church and relationships you cultivate life outside of the school setting. - To participate in the life and curriculum of the school, abide by their ethos and values. - To engage in the extra-curricular activities in the school when appropriate. - To learn survival language skills, to ensure you can travel safely and conduct daily affairs with ease. -To engage in and commit to a local church, participating in worship and the ministries of the church.
- Each school will have a required list of qualifications depending on the opportunity being applied for. - OMF require you to have some basic Bible training in order to be able to engage in discipleship.
In each of these situations you are living in a city, close to the school. With a growing middle-class population, housing is comfortable and affordable.
There is still a need to bring the Gospel in all its fullness to this diverse nation that is open to missionaries.
