Join our passionate team and equip, inspire, and mobilize the church to bless the peoples of Southeast Asia. This is a virtual role; with regular visits to the field, it can be done from anywhere in the world.
Are you a creative and analytical media and communication professional? Could you use your gifts, skills, and training to serve God and others? There are a quarter of a billion people living in Southeast Asia, who do not know who Jesus is. Can you help us by making Christian audiences aware of them? We need someone to promote our field and the people they serve. Can you create, develop, and manage media and communications initiatives using socials, web, print, and other media? If so, then this could be a fulfilling role for you.
Work with field leadership to develop inspirational media to mobilize prayer and people to bless Muslims among Christian audiences. Review and implement our communications strategy, including developing promotional materials, digital and paper resources and communications tools that will help Christians support the field’s mission. Keeping up to date on current communications practice. Provide support and advice to field members when they communicate with their home audiences. Develop or project-manage the creation of new media and curate existing field media resources. Work with leadership to recruit and manage media volunteers and translators to build a field communications and media community. Collaborate with the OMF International Communications and Media Team.
Requirements: - Appropriate training and/or experience in media and communicatiions - An interest to see people in Southeast Asia come to understand Christ better Assets: - Creativity and the ability to develop original content - Good level of computer literacy and digital marketing - Good administration and curating skills - An ability to train others in the current media context and develop their communication skills
This is a virtual role and can be done from anywhere, so long as regular visits were made to Southeast Asia to meet with field members. If the applicant wants to live in the field in Southeast Asia, they will need to be culturally sensitive in the way they dress and live their lives. Guidance will be given.
