Come and serve the kids of those who serve Asia! Join us on this three month journey in which we create and enable events, activities, conferences, and educational support for Missionary Kids to help them build their community, expand their minds and deepen their relationship with Jesus. Cost: Approx $2500 - $3000 USD September to November 2025 or mid-January- mid-April 2026
Children can often get overlooked in society, but they are watching, learning and preparing to be tomorrow's leaders. The question is: "What type of leaders will they be?" God desires not only all nations, but all generations, to seek him and to make Him known. One recent study of former missionaries concluded that of preventable reasons, the number one reason for attrition of missionaries returning to their passport country was due to “too little missionary care.” This Serve Asia placement hopes to change that narrative by making family missionary care its top priority. As a Serve Asia worker, you will work alongside a team of people who are passionate about seeing children thrive in whatever environment God has called them into. We strive to build a strong fellowship with the kids through conference programs, art and music events, sport days, or homeschool weeks. Quest embraces the full body of Christ mindset knowing that missionary families are more likely to thrive when appropriate support structures are put in place.
Responsibilities may include but not be limited to the following: Work with children of different ages. Teach simple Bible lessons. Lead games, crafts, and other age-appropriate activities for children. Assist in homeschooling activities. Facilitate “Serving Saturdays” where missionary kids can have an opportunity to serve in the community. Attend Thai language learning classes. Explore the beautiful city of Chiang Mai putting into practice what you are learning in your language classes. Serve with a positive attitude even when tired and on the move.
Team members need to have ministry and/or professional experience working with children.
Team members need to have the following: A spirit of adventure. An ability to adapt quickly and well to new environments and people. A flexible spirit. A humble attitude, eager to learn, grow, and forgive. A genuine care and love for children. Team members will live communally in simple accommodation. This placement is located in the beautiful city of Chiang Mai, North Thailand.
Less than one percent of the 65 million people in Thailand follow Jesus despite over 170 years of evangelism.
