Job Description

University students are among the most influential groups in shaping the future of Thailand, yet most come from Buddhist backgrounds and have little exposure to the gospel. Through the Hive Center, located beside a private university, we provide a welcoming space where students can connect through language coaching, games, and shared meals. These simple activities create natural bridges for friendship, discipleship, and faith conversations. We are seeking passionate followers of Jesus who long to invest in the next generation of Thai leaders. By serving at the Hive Center, you will help foster meaningful relationships with students, encouraging them academically, socially, and spiritually. Whether through teaching English or Chinese, playing board games, or sharing food, your presence offers an approachable way for students to encounter the love of Christ. This role combines practical service with relational ministry, creating opportunities to disciple new believers and equip them to impact their peers and communities.

Responsibilities

· Build friendships with university students through classes, tutoring, and recreational activities at the Hive Center. · Facilitate English or Chinese conversation practice and small group discussions. · Host or join casual community-building events such as board games or meals. · Encourage and disciple students who are exploring faith or are new believers. · Partner with the local team to support wider ministry activities.

Qualifications

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ, with a heart for sharing the gospel and a willingness to understand complex cultural contexts. • A heart for university students and willingness to engage relationally. • Native or near-native proficiency in English (Chinese language ability is a plus but not required). • Flexibility, humility, and openness to unfamiliar situations. • Willingness to serve in a cross-cultural context and adapt to local rhythms. • Minimum commitment of 2–3 months to build trust and deepen relationships.

Living Situation

Life in Bangkok is a mix of vibrant city culture and simple daily living. Volunteers typically stay in modest local housing within reach of the Hive Center. Expect to adapt to a new pace of life, embrace local food and customs, and learn alongside the community. While there may be challenges, this experience offers a rich opportunity to grow in faith and resilience while serving others. ✨ Come and invest in the lives of university students in Bangkok. Your presence could be the spark that helps ignite a movement of disciple-makers for Christ across Thailand and the Mekong region. Opportunities & Benefits • Experience authentic Thai culture and student life in a university context. • Grow in cross-cultural ministry and discipleship. • Join a supportive team passionate about investing in Thailand’s next generation. • Develop practical teaching and mentoring skills with long-term impact. Key Qualities We’re Looking For • Relational Heart – Enjoys building friendships and connecting with students. • Cross-Cultural Adaptability – Flexible and willing to learn from local ways. • Encourager & Mentor – Passionate about walking alongside students in faith and life. • Servant Spirit – Ready to invest time and energy in behind-the-scenes and relational work.
