The heart of our ministry is serving God by serving people, no matter what our particular role is. With your abilities in Finance you serve donors, missionaries and ultimately East Asia’s peoples. You will help ensure good accountability to donors and government authorities, as well as to the OMF leaders and team members, for God’s glory. People with abilities in Financial Management and Leadership are needed in a wide variety of roles. In some cases those roles may be full-time and perhaps overlap with areas such as Administration and Human Resources. In addition to the core accounting related work, a center finance manager may either deal directly with relevant officials on matters such as taxes and health insurance for example, or lead a team that addresses those needs, and more. Sometimes the finance role may be part-time and involve serving on a direct ministry team, using your abilities to manage projects, serve missional businesses or more. Qualified and capable Finance personnel are needed in both sending countries and the countries where the primary ministry is evangelism and discipleship. They may serve as part of a team or be the primary finance manager with a wide range of responsibilities. Often working as part of a multinational team in a rapidly changing environment, your role will likely be varied and challenging. You will need to learn the main language of the country in which you serve, both for work effectiveness as well as functioning as a member of a local church or ministry team. The exact language proficiency requirements will vary according to the role. Education and professional training and requirements will also depend on the role envisioned, and in some cases by government visa requirements. We look for women and men who are capable and qualified in the needed areas, have a strong maturing relationship with God, and have a passion for seeing God glorified among East Asia’s peoples, and beyond.
